I hail from Seme-Ratta, Kisumu, Kenya, and graduated from Mariwa Mixed High School in 2020. My journey into the world of art began in September 2022, when I decided to pursue it full-time. Since then, my work has been recognized through various publications and awards, including features in the Global Art Times (July 2023 issue, pages 67-81), winning the Best Artwork at the Monsoon Carnival 2 competition and exhibition by Art India Gallery (September 22-30, 2023), and being featured in Art Cabbage Magazine (November 2023).
Using pencils as my primary medium, I aim to capture and convey the stories of people from diverse backgrounds, exploring realism as a genre to depict the realities of everyday life. My art focuses on highlighting the positivity of our cultural heritage and fostering a sense of peace in the art world. I strive to give voice to the silent and lonely, encouraging self-expression and addressing societal issues while embracing creative serenity.
